Sheltering Tree, Woodland Embossing Folder

This week at Stampin' Royalty is a Picture Inspiration Challenge!

here is the inspiration:

I loved the colors in the original, so i used that, along with the pumpkins, the vertical lines of the candles, and the pop of color like you see in the flowers of the cake image.
I made the pumpkins using two different circle punches, and the leaves using the Bird Builder punch.
How i did the background:
I inked the embossing folder using Pool Party Ink, so that only on the 'recessed' portion would be inked. after running a piece of Whisper White cardstock through, this is the final result you will get.
*a little tip is that before you lift the paper from the folder, make sure to kind of rub the back of the paper so that you will get a fairly even inking.

The pumpkins were punched from Pumpkin Pie cardstock then layered to look like pumpkins, also some Whisper White Craft Ink was sponged along the tops to give them dimension.. The leaves are punched from Soft Suede cardstock using the Bird Builder punch.

The sentiment was from the Sheltering Tree set, and the little 'brad' on the side was made by punching out a small circle, gluing it down, then covering it with Crystal Effects. This is how i make my own custom 'brads' or 'epoxy elements'. :o)

Supplies:

Stamps - Sheltering Tree
Ink - Pool Party, Pumpkin Pie
Cardstock - Whisper White, Pool Party, Pumpkin Pie, Soft Suede
Accessories - Woodland Embossing Folder, Circle Punches, Bird Builder Punch, Crystal Effects

Guy Greetings, Masculine Birthday Card

The Theme at Stampin' Royalty this week is a Color Challenge!

This card is pretty simplistic, although it has textures and elements to help fill it out and give it interest. I deliberately placed the stamped image a little off to the right because i originally wanted both sentiments on the left, but decided on the above look instead.
I'm sure you can figure how i put most of this card together,  i think the one thing worth mentioning though is that you will need to stamp the car and square BEFORE you emboss the Vanilla panel. I created the square by inking up my Clear Acrylic Block and using that as a 'stamp'. i love the look, and so convenient!

Supplies:
Stamps: Guy Greetings
Cardstock: Blackberry Bliss, Crumb Cake, Very Vanilla, Hello honey
Ink:Crumb Cake, Blackberry Bliss, Hello Honey
Accessories: Twine, Woodgrain embossing folder

Jolly Christmas Woodland Embossing Folder Christmas Card

This weeks Stampin' Royalty Challenge is Fancy Folds!
I don't know why, but i immediately thought of this card. it is slightly different than i originally envisioned it, but it turned out pretty close! I was able to use a lot of my new goodies from the new Holiday Catalog that will be coming out soon! oooooh, so many fun things!

For this one, i embossed a piece of Whisper White using the Woodland Textured Impressions Embossing Folder, then cut it and mounted it on the new thicker Whisper White Paper. I had cut it and scored it in such a way that there are flaps on either side that overlap...

I cut the outer flap to the contour of the tree closest to the edge.
I then used Crumb Cake and sponged the trees so they would stand out more. I used the single leaf from Lovely as a Tree to add leaves, enhanced them using a blender pen and Crumb Cake ink,  then used my Gorgeous Grunge spatter stamp and Gold ink to add some magical gold sparkle :o)

I stamped the deer from the Jolly Christmas set in Early Espresso, cut him out and adhered him, then lastly i added a Snowflake Element to finish it off.

* I had a request for the dimensions of this card..here ya go!*

the cardbase is cut to 10 x 5-1/2 inches
then scored at 3-1/2, then at 7-3/4
(in other words, if you put the 10 in. piece on your score board, you don't need to move it, just score at these two measurements without moving the piece)
at that point i put a separate tree embossed piece on each flap, then trimmed the larger flap along the contour of the tree.
these measurements should give you a 5-1/2 x 4-1/4 card that will fit in a standard envelope

Supplies:

Stamps - Jolly Christmas, Lovely as a Tree, Flurry of Wishes (for inside sentiment) Gorgeous Grunge (For Gold splatter)
Ink - Crumb Cake, Early Espresso
Cardstock - Whisper White, Thick Whisper White
Accessories - Snowflake Elements, Woodland Textured Impressions Embossing Folder
