Blue (but Jolly!) Christmas

The challenge at Stampin' Royalty this week was a Sketch Challenge!  I like those because it makes it a little easier to come up with a card! although there is still challenge in trying to figure out what stamps and paper to use....I seem to have a theme of my own...Birthdays or Christmas!  because those are what i always seem to need the most of!

I used Markers to color the image stamps, and i think the only other part of this card that might need some explaining is the mat behind the main image. I actually traced the outside of the actual die and cut it out by hand. it was pretty easy and only took me less than a minute.  I also used the glitter glue on the button to make it sparkle!

Accessories - Polka DotParade Patterned Paper, Stampin' Write Markers, Silver Glimmer Paper, Dotted Scallop Ribbon Border Punch, Petals-a-Plenty Embossing Folder, Labels Collection Framelits Dies, Rhinestones, Large Oval Punch, Neutrals buttons

Never Too Early for Christmas!

This weeks Challenge at Stampin' Royalty is a Picture Inspiration Challenge, and i have to tell you, i was definitely challenged at first, but once i got that spark of inspiration, it all came together!  In the picture, there is so much going on, the color, the texture, the sparkle and shine....i used all those things in this card!  When i was thinking about the supply list on this one, i thought to myself  "what DIDN'T i use!" haha!   Really this doesn't take much explaining, except that i might note that #1, i embossed the first white panel after i die cut it, #2, for the Silver Glimmer Paper, I used the actual die itself and traced the outline of it on the back of the Silver Glimmer Paper, then cut it out to make a mat (using my Craft and Rubber Scissors so as not to ruin my good scissors!)  and #3, I embossed the ornament in Silver, then I actually cut right along the outside of it, then layered it onto a die cut piece of the same shape for a mat.  Other than that, its all about layering and adding the bling!
If you haven't already seen the rest of the samples made by the Goddesses, you really need to see them! they are all so very talented and their projects seriously wow me every week!

Balloons and Birthdays

Here is my sample for this weeks Stampin' Royalty Challenge, which is a Color Challenge! Summer Starfruit, Gumball Green, and Raspberry Ripple! I do love these colors together! One of the stamp sets we got with our convention bags this year was the You're Amazing, and decided to use it right away!
I have recently been having card designs just randomly pop into my head as i am either waking up or falling asleep, and this card design came to me while i was still half asleep about a week ago.  It's not exactly as i pictured (i pictured it with different colors) but it is pretty close! and i like the way it turned out!
Do you ever have designs come to you in dreams? : )
